Hey GSLR members, I have been underwhelmed by suggestions for boat names.  Boats still needing names:
Maas 24, white carbon with black riggers
Maas 24, white or grey fiberglass w/fiberglass riggers
Maas Aero, new and shiny
Maas Aero, not so new but recently repaired

Please help out by posting suggestions for names, then we can have a vote.

The board members have proposed some names:
Oranjeboom (orange tree, or, a Dutch beer), for the orange beginner boat
Merlot, for the red olympus (there's a story, ask Glenn)

(My opinion?  I like both of these, but let's not name all the boats after beverages.)  

On the naming-boats after songs theme (e.g. Let it Roll), Demie suggests:
Broken Aero (play on song by Robbie Robertson, also doen by Rod Stewart)
Forever Young - rowing does this for you and Dylan's song is great.
Ripple - great song and seems pertinent
Mary Ellen Carter - name of a ship that is raised from depths in a song by Phil Rogers.

Given the "Viking" name on one of our Maas Aero's how about we keep that going for the other Maas's.

Ran: goddess of storms
Aegir:  sea god (Ran's Husband)
Atla:  water goddess and daughter of Ran & Aegir
Svartalfar:  black elves who grew from the maggots of Ymir's flesh (think brine flies)
Ull:  He excels in archery and in skiing (in other words he's perfect)

Other options:  Tyr, Sigurd/Siegfried, Valkrie, Brunhilda (sp?) I could go on and on...
